The first step that the Prison Consulting Group takes with each new client is to educate the client in the PSI interview process. We detail the client so he can fully gather all the information that will be requested of him at the intervew. After all, the Pre-Sentence Interview Document Preparation is an important step in determining our client’s federal prison sentence. We already know the materials that will be required. They have an impact on his federal prison sentence. In actuality, we gather information at a much more detailed level so we are prepared for every eventuality. Armed with this information, the defendant may participate in the PSI interview with his attorney and/or a member of the PCG staff. A member of the PCG staff, if requested, will participate in this very important interview. We highly recommend that no defendant participates in this interview without legal representation or a PCG staff member being present. Remember, this interview and the resulting report is the single most dominant and definitive event in determining your federal prison sentence, federal prison designation, and the quality of life enhancements while you are in federal prison.
