About us……

No one is fully prepared for what is about to happen. You realize that you are going to prison and you face incarceration, but you have no idea of the process involved, what to expect, and how to deal with the overall situation. You are experiencing fear, apprehension, and anxiety. Will there be gangs, will I be raped, will I be beaten up? These are all questions that confronted me before my journey to Federal Prison. In addition, there are other questions. How will your family go on without you? What about income, your personal property, assets, your job? How will you get along without your family? You are facing a situation in which you have absolutely no control. You have heard many stories about prison life from books, television, movies, and the news media. Is it really like Oz, Prison Break, or the Shawshank Redemption? You don’t know what is true and what is false and worse yet, you don’t know where to go to get the truth. It is the fear of not knowing that is adding to your mounting fear and apprehension.

"How will your family go on without you? What about income, your personal property, assets, your job? How will you get along without your family?"

"Prison—is it really like Oz, Prison Break or is it like the Shawshank Redemption?"

I was a white-collar offender and spent twenty-nine months in a Federal Prison Camp in Miami, Florida. I also spent three months in a halfway house and thirty-six months on supervised release. The Miami Federal Prison Camp certainly wasn’t “Club Fed” by any stretch of the imagination. I know from personal experience that serving time in a federal facility isn’t easy, especially for first time white-collar offenders. From the very first day I was incarcerated, I felt overwhelmed and under informed. I had no idea what to expect, how to act, or what to do. The Bureau of Prisons' staff (BOP) wasn't especially helpful and basically I was lost. I had no idea how to handle the day to day nonsense and idiocy of the BOP system, including dealing with other inmates. PCG, a.k.a., Prison Consulting Group, was an outgrowth of my prison experience. My time and experiences in Federal Prison made me determined to form a prison consulting company that would provide valuable assistance and aid to federal prison offenders and their families to help them prepare for and manage federal incarceration. Through the Prison Consulting Group I have developed programs and techniques to properly position our clients for eligibility and acceptance into various BOP programs including the 500-Hour Residential Drug Abuse Program. This program has the potential of dramatically reducing the length of actual time served by the client. I made it through my ordeal, and I can help you and your family make it also.
